Forging Elite Fitness

In the heart of Chatham-Kent

CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide.

Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience or age. From elderly individuals with heart disease to cage fighter preparing for telivised fights. We scale load and intensity; we don't change programs.

10 CrossFit Principles We Emphasize

Cardiorespiratory Endurance

The ability of body systems to gather, process, and deliver oxygen.

Stamina

The ability of body systems to process, deliver, store, and utilize energy.

Strength

The ability of a muscular unit, or combination of muscular units, to apply force.

Flexibility

The ability to maximize the range of motion at a given joint.

Power

The ability of a muscular unit, or combination of muscular units, to apply maximum force in minimum time.

Speed

The ability to minimize the time cycle of a repeated movement.

Coordination

The ability to combine several distinct movement patterns into a singular distinct movement.

Agility

The ability to minimize transition time from one movement pattern to another.

Balance

The ability to control the placement of the bodies center of gravity in relation to its support base.

Accuracy

The ability to control movement in a given direction or at a given intensity.

All of these principles give you the opportunity to improve in one, or all of these skills. These are the necessary skill sets we all use on a daily basis, whether you realize it or not! When you come to train at Chatham CrossFit we will ensure that given your hard work and dedication, you will improve on every one of these day to day skills in your life! Infact, we take all our new CrossFit members through out very own fundamentals class to help you learn the skills you need! We ensure you'll have fun while learning and getting a sweat on!
